There will be a fire drill on Monday, August 24th during Shield Time. Students are not able to be checked in or out during the drill while our front office is closed from 11 to 11:35am.

LMMS Yoga Studio Beginning + Intermediate Yoga Classes with Mrs. Luke, you will need:

Important 7th grade day information! We invite all 7th graders to attend an orientation the day before school starts on August 18th, from 8:15am -12pm.
All regular bus routes will run before and after school.
Please print your schedule before attending. We will run through all eight periods and provide mini-lessons to help students transition to middle school.
For the 7th Grade Day Only, all students will all enter through doors on the NORTH end of the school. There will be signs directing students to those north doors. If you drop your student off on the south or east sides of the building, they will need to walk to the north end.
Picture Day is Tuesday, August 11 and 12th from 8:30am to 2:30pm during Chromebook Check Out Days!
Students unable to attend the Chromebook Checkout and Picture days before school start will have their pictures taken on August 26th.
Picture Retakes will be on September 30th.

We have four parent openings on our school community council, which is an advisory group that decides how to spend our State Trustland money, establishes goals for our school improvement plan, and provides input for school-related issues. If you are interested, please submit a short bio (one paragraph) that can be shared with the community by Wednesday, August 5th to Leslie McCleery at lmccleery@alpinedistrict.org. If we have more candidates than openings, we will hold an electronic election, which will be on August 17th. For more information about School Community Council, please visit our website.

Students new to Lake Mountain - we are excited to meet you this fall! Please be aware that new student enrollment in Skyward will be OFFLINE July 17 - 27.
Skyward will be down during this time as we migrate student information to the new Skyward Q platform.
All new student applications must be SUBMITTED before July 17. After this date, applications will be deleted and must be restarted and submitted after July 27.

Each student is required to checkout a Chromebook for the school year and have their photo taken for their school account. Parents, please bring your student at the assigned time to check out Chromebooks and have student photos taken.

Alpine School District is preparing for an important upgrade to its student information system as part of ongoing district reconfiguration efforts. After eighteen years of service with Skyward SMS 2.0, the district will transition to Skyward’s newest platform, Qmlativ.
